Skills and Achievements

10 years managing a business with 50 employees

As the General Manager of our family owned dealership, I gained valuable experience guiding employees, improving processes and evaluating financial performance. One of the most important lessons I learned was that most employees want to perform their job well and it is the managers responsibility to minimize the things that get in their way.

Business Development Center

The business development center has been my most recent achievement. Starting it from the ground up, it has successfully assisted all members of a sales department to adopted an appointment culture. Changing the culture was not easy, but has been very rewarding.

Data Driven Marketing

Marketing should increase the likelihood of a customer purchasing again in the future. Data analysis can help a decision maker understand which marketing strategies have been most effective.

Customer Loyalty

Is the customer loyal to your business or the salesperson? Understanding what that question means will help a business grow profitably.

Continuous Improvement Process

Our Cadillac franchise gave me the opportunity to learn about continuous improvements to business process through employee involvement. Small groups a front line employees can be a very quick and effective way of improving how a business operates. Be careful though, if management is not involved and does not following through it can create negative employee moral.

Excel

Have you ever wanted a custom report that was not provided by any of your other resources? Excel was my answer.

I needed to understand appointment performance in more detail and did not have a solution. Using the resources available, I created an excel worksheet that stores appointment detail in one sheet and links the data to a custom dynamic report. It has allowed me to analyze and improve appointment performance in a way that our Dealer Manager System did not provide without any adding any additional expense.
