My wife recently opened up a cool new online boutique, wilibleu.com.  I am really proud of all the work she has done, taking her interior design style and sharing it with anyone. She blogs about the products and how to use them to decorate your house, so I thought I would talk about the website and how we made it.  

To create the online store we used a hosted eCommerce service, shopify. We picked shopify because of how easy it was to get started. Managing the products is simple and straight forward and it was hosted. We did not have to do anything to get it up and running.  Simply signed up and set up shop.

My wife did want her unique style to reflect in the way the website looked and worked, so shopify was flexible enough to allow us to customize the online store. We hired a website designer and they tweaked the look to match my wife’s style.

By the way, I recently found another eCommerce solution which has been very highly rated, Magento. It is an open source solution which has been said to be extremely flexible and will have a lower cost of ownership . I will be reviewing it and will tell you what I think.
